Making a movie in English & again in Spanish with Gerald Fillmore

Gerald Fillmore is a Spanish-British-American filmmaker, screenwriter, and actor based in LA. After leaving school at 16 in Zaragoza, he came up through theatre, sketch comedy, and shorts, eventually making his way into writing for TV in Madrid.

Twelve years ago he moved to LA, where he founded a production company that this year launched its first feature film. The movie was shot in English (Face Love) and in Spanish (Amor en toda la cara).

We spoke with Gerald about making the same movie twice, adaptation vs translation, growing up part British-American in Spain, and embracing the Latino community in LA.
